My Friend Dhanur Ramana

Dhanur Ramana, What he says...
Being an active person in heart, I love to engage in sports where I keep myself fit for any physical challenges. Reading on Information Technology where my job is concern and keep in par with the IT world, besides these, I also read a lot on self development books which helps me to improve my own self in many ways any where. Learning about something always kept me going in life, most of all learn to observe and correct myself as I go. I do yoga and meditation for self realisation purpose, helps me a lot in handling hectic life style, especially in this present time. Apart from this, I listen to music, sing, go for movies and associate with my friends.

My strengths are being confident in whatever I am engage in, it could be work where I need to accomplish in time, handling people let it be in my team or subordinates.
The highlight of my strength is being very positive. When I am committed to do a task, I will go all for it regardless of its obstacles, attitude of “how can I instead of how can’t I”.
I am very fast to forgive anyone, that’s my weakness. At times I can’t differentiate when to and not to forgive someone, however, I am learning to improve on this are, well, life is about learning after all.

My most significant achievement is working for Digital Equipment back in 1996. I never thought I would make it, as I did not have the academic qualification. I was only a sub-contractor to DE back then. One of the Managers approached as I was very well versed with the clients. He handed me a project work to take up as a challenge. Knowing my strength I hesitated, but the Manager insisted and said that I can do it. I took up although I was not very confident about it; to my surprise I carried out the scope of work successfully. That brought me the job offer to DE as a System Administrator and later became the Interface Consultant. This one incident have made me a very strong person, that’s how I became very confident in whatever I do, let it be work or in my own life.

My inclination has always been towards Information Technology. However, I realized that in order to be a consummate performer, I would require enhancing my ability by upgrading my skills and knowledge not only in the mentioned discipline, also in other area such as people training. I find it personally rewarding and challenging, and I believe this is where my niche is. I can be humbly considered as an asset to any promising organization and to society.

As this is an information age, keeping up with the advancement in respective fields is essential for both business and personal.
